RentalCal aims to provide comparable and transparent information on the profitability of energy efficiency investments that can be used both for the assessment of investment decisions, and for the comparative analysis of existing barriers in the private rental housing stock in participating countries. Within this objective, the technical, legal, financial and institutional framework conditions for energy saving investments in the rental housing sector of selected European member states will be analyzed.
Furthermore, the project emphasizes on the cross-national comparative analysis of the profitability calculation of energy retrofitting investments. In this context RentalCal aims to contribute to a harmonization of the methodologies and calculation standards in the field of profitability assessments for energy retrofitting investments in the existing housing stock.
